Denial of Legitimate Homeowner Damage Claim

A washer malfunction and leak caused severe mold throughout the basement. I feel that a calculated attempt to outright deny my claim for policy benefits was evident.

After a 5-minute visit, the Allstate adjuster denied the claim stating long-term damage and that the floor was rotted, both statements untrue. I do not feel that a fair assessment of my home was made.

The false reporting of a rotted floor and manipulation resulted in the denial of a valid claim with ignored messages, no return calls and zero customer service from Allstate homeowner claim dept. in an attempt to reopen the claim.

I love my local agent at Barton Allstate in Roebuck SC . The reason for some of the lower scores is I was passed to 4 people before my resolution. Also,the computer for selecting a correct person wasn't clear on where to go.
