Similar issue with service. My house was thoroughly vandalized around Oct 2014.

Initially the "team" worked hard at removing trash, etc. They received over $7,000.00 for this, A few weeks later, no further progress had been done but they discovered that a partial insurance settlement came to us. Servpro was at our house within 2 days, requesting that we sign over the $14,00.00 check to them, which we did. Winter months came, and repeated calls to ServPro (of St.

Croix Valley), a franchise, went either unanswered or voice mail only. Finally about 1 year later, the "foreman" became angry and literally walked off our jobsite, never to return. Calls to our insurance carrier were multiple and detailed. Finally, we received a check for about $14,000.00 to complete all of the work.

About 1 month later, ServPro sent a letter saying they understood that we had a received this payment and demanded that we turn over the entire amount, ALONG WITH AN INVOICE FOR ANOTHER $24,000.00+!

We refused to pay anything at all, and found a LICENSED contractor who completed all of our work in less than 10 working days. I publicly challenge the OWNER of this franchise to contact me and explain his firm's shoddy workmanship (carpet and paint), refusal of his subcontractors to show up on time or at all, and provide me with recompense for my lost time, aggravation, costs of redoing parts of the job, etc.

Reason of review: Problems with payment.
